US Chargé d’Affaires Paul Jones Thursday called on Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and discussed the regional security situation.
Both the sides agreed to further strengthen the bilateral relations. They also agreed to work together to achieve common objectives in the region.
Earlier this week, Ambassador Jones had called on Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters (GHQ). “In the meeting, Ambassador Jones and Gen Bajwa discussed matters of mutual interest, including regional security, with particular reference to Afghanistan,” Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor had said in a tweet after the meeting.
