Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and members of his family on Saturday met his brother Shehbaz Sharif at the office of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The former prime minister was accompanied by his daughter Maryam Safdar, Shehbaz Sharif’s wife Nusrat Shehbaz and son Hamza Shehbaz during the meeting.
The meeting between Shehbaz and his family took place for an hour and a half.
Shehbaz, the president of the opposition Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former Punjab chief minister, is under a 14-day physical remand with NAB in connection with the Ashiyana Iqbal housing scheme case.
The bureau has stated before an accountability court that the former chief minister of Punjab had also been arrested in another case for issuing a directive for the construction of a drain in Chiniot primarily for the use of the Ramzan Sugar Mills, which is allegedly owned by his sons.
The court had ordered NAB to produce him again in court on Nov 24.
