BISHKEK: Pakistan and China have agreed to continue closer cooperation in all spheres of bilateral relations.
This was agreed during a meeting between Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met on the sidelines of 15th (Shanghai Cooperation Organisation) SCO Heads of Government Council meeting in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on Thursday.
The two leaders held detailed discussions on the entire range of bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction on the progress so far achieved. Both sides also exchanged views on prevailing regional and global issues including Afghanistan, Kashmir and South Asia.
They also agreed to continue close coordination at the United Nations and other multilateral forums. Pakistan thanked China for its support in becoming the full member of the SCO.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that China appreciates Pakistan’s contribution to fight terrorism, extremism and separatism and opposes any false insinuations in this regard.
