KHAIRPUR: A proclaimed offender (PO) having head bounty of Rs 1 million among three hardened criminals were arrested after exchange of fire with police on Sunday. The police on a tip-off, regarding presence of robbers conducted a search operation in suburbs of Khairpur city. The criminals taking shelter in the area upon sight of police started firing and tried to flee which led to an encounter. The police after minor resistance arrested a proclaimed offender Ghous Bux Jagirani having head money of Rs10,00,000 along with his two accomplices and recovered arms from their possession. The nabbed proclaimed offender was wanted by police in more than 20 cases of murder and other severe crimes.
