A child died while another person was seriously injured in a landmine explosion in Ladha tehsil of South Waziristan on Friday.
According to details, the blast took place after passersby stepped over landmine.
As a result of the explosion, a child died on the spot while another was critically injured.
The body and the injured were shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities.
