A team of the Sindh Food Authority (SFA), led by its Director Aysha Junejo, on Sunday found a dead lizard in 70 kilogrammes of milk at a hotel. The hotel is located on famous Bundar Road. The SFA team sealed the hotel. SFA officials Muhammad Ali Soomro, Muhammad Aslam Shar and Akbar Ali Brohi told reporters that the team conducted a raid on Al-Zabih Hotel which was operated by Aftab Ali Soomro. The team inspected cleanliness and other things in the hotel which is known for tea. They said that 70kg milk was also checked which was lying there and was used for making tea from which we found a dead lizard due to which hotel was sealed immediately and milk was discarded. They said raids shall continue on all hotels, sweet marts, shops selling substandard and unhygienic food items across the district and warnings will be issued to the owners besides fines at the very outset adding if they did not improve conditions then their premises will be sealed. They said that health of the residents is most important to them and procuring quality food items is the right of every citizen for which they pay huge rates to the shopkeepers.
